GA.photo was formed in 2002 by a group of founder photographers from Germany, the UK and Canada and the GlobalAware organisation. Since those early days we have been joined by photographers from the US, France, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Asia. GA.photo is a meeting place for the promotion of excellence in photography. Member photographers are also committed to using their images for the furthering of human rights, civil justice and democracy. GA.photo was formed as a reaction to the current climate of rampaging corporations, a silenced media and deteriorating environmental and human rights across the globe.
